Application of Radiotherapy in Breast Cancer Patients after Breast-Sparing Surgery
Objective:To investigate the application effect of radiotherapy technology in breast cancer patients under-going breast-sparing surgery.Methods:The study period was from April 2022 to June 2023,and 60 patients with breast cancer who received comprehensive medical services at Hunan Provincial People's Hospital(the First Affilia-ted Hospital of Hunan Normal University)during this period were selected as research subjects.The subjects were divided into the control group and the observation group.Both groups received breast-sparing treatment during the current treatment,and the observation group began radiotherapy 15 days after surgery.The local recurrence,metastasis,and overall recurrence rates,satisfaction with breast shape,and adverse reactions were compared be-tween the two groups.Results:Compared with the control group after the treatment activities,the local recurrence,metastasis,and overall recurrence rates of the observation group were significantly better,with statistically signifi-cant differences,P＜0.05.The satisfaction with breast shape of both groups was high,and there was no significant difference between the groups,P＞0.05.The observation group had mild adverse reactions,including radiation der-matitis and pharyngeal reactions.Conclusion:Radiotherapy after breast-sparing surgery for breast cancer patients can effectively reduce local recurrence,distant metastasis,and overall recurrence rates,and has no effect on the shape of the breast.However,it may cause some adverse reactions,so attention should be paid.
