Causes of Nutritional Interruption And Its Effect on Clinical Outcomes of Neonates Aged 28~34 Weeks in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Objective:To analyze the causes of nutritional interruption in premature infants with gestational age of 28-34 weeks in neonatal intensive care unit(NICU)and the influence of different nutritional interruption time on their clinical outcomes. Methods:From March 2023 to March 2024 108 premature infants with gestational age of 28-34 weeks who received enteral nutrition support in NICU affiliated to Zhongda Hospital of Southeast University were selected, and their clinical data were retrospectively analyzed, and the causes of nutritional interruption were statistically analyzed, and multivariate analysis was conducted.Taking NICU premature infants with nutritional in-terruption as the observation object, the clinical outcomes of premature infants with different nutritional interrup-tion time were compared. Results:Among 108 premature infants in NICU,85 cases had nutritional interruption, the incidence rate was 78.70%.The incidence of nutritional interruption in premature infants with different sex and weight was compared,P>0.05;Premature infants with gestational age less than 31 weeks、gastrointestinal intoler-ance、mechanical ventilation、necrotizing enterocolitis、outdoor monitoring and surgical treatment had higher inci-dence of nutritional interruption,P<0.05.Multivariate regression analysis showed that the above factors were the causes of nutritional interruption of premature infants in NICU.Premature infants whose nutrition interruption time is more than 12 h/d have a longer time to use ventilator、stay in hospital and recover their body weight than those whose nutrition interruption time is less than 12 h/d,and the incidence of parenteral nutrition replacement,ventilator-associated pneumonia and intrauterine growth retardation are higher than those whose nutrition inter-ruption time is less than 12 h/d,P<0.05.Conclusion:The causes of nutritional interruption in premature infants with gestational age of 28~34 weeks in NICU mainly include gestational age、gastrointestinal intolerance、mechani-cal ventilation、necrotizing enterocolitis、outdoor monitoring、surgical treatment, etc.,and the clinical outcome of premature infants with nutritional interruption time>12 h/d is even worse,so clinical attention should be focused on and effective intervention methods should be implemented to improve their prognosis.
