Value of Serum Procalcitonin Combined with Heparin Binding Protein in Predicting Nosocomial Infection in Patients in Non-infectious Intensive Care Unit
Objective:To Objective To explore the value of serum procalcitonin(PCT)combined with heparin-binding protein(HBP)in predicting nosocomial infection in patients in non-infected intensive care unit. Methods:From May 2022 to May 2024,68 non-infected patients admitted to the intensive care unit of Suqian Hospital of Nanjing Gulou Hospital Group were selected.Based on whether there was nosocomial infection in the end. They were divided into infection group(n=27)and non-infection group(n=41)based on whether nosocomial infection finally occurred. Both groups were tested for serum PCT and HBP separately and jointly. The test results were com-pared and their predictive value for nosocomial infection was analyzed. Results:The levels of PCT and HBP in infec-ted group were higher than those in uninfected group,P<0.05.The diagnostic efficiency of PCT combined with HBP was higher than that of single detection,P<0.05.Conclusion:PCT combined with HBP has high application value in the prediction of nosocomial infection in patients in non-infectious intensive care unit, and the accuracy、sensitivity and specificity of diagnosis are high, which is conducive to avoiding misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis and finding the infection of patients in time.
