Efficacy of Intravenous Immunoglobulin Combined with Vancomycin in the Treatment of Septicemia in Children And Its Influence on Inflammatory Factors in Peripheral Blood
Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of intravenous immunoglobulin combined with vancomycin on sepsis in children and its influence on serum inflammatory indexes. Methods:During the period from October 2022 to October 2023,a total of 100 pediatric patients diagnosed with septicemia were enrolled at Zhanjiang Central Peo-ple's Hospital. These patients were randomly assigned into two groups for treatment comparison. The control group received vancomycin therapy, while the observation group underwent intravenous immunoglobulin treatment. The therapeutic effect, serum inflammatory indexes[neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)、procalcitonin(PCT)、high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hS-CRP)and white blood cell count(WBC)]and the incidence of adverse reac-tions were compared between the two groups. Results:The therapeutic outcome exhibited by the observation group surpasses that of the control group, and the symptoms of nervous system, the observation group exhibited shorter durations for body temperature normalization and hospitalization compared to the control group.Following treat-ment,the observation group showed higher levels of CD4+,CD3+,CD4/CD8 ratio,IgA,and IgG compared to the control group, and the levels of NLR、PCT、hs-CRP and WBC in the peripheral blood of the observation group are lower than those in the control group,P<0.05.The incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups was compared,P>0.05.Conclusion:Intravenous injection of human immunoglobulin combined with vancomycin in the treatment of septicemia in children is effective, which can effectively reduce the inflammatory index, regulate the im-mune function of children, shorten the recovery time and have good safety.
