Effect of Percutaneous Transforaminal Endoscopic Surgery for Lumbar Disc Herniation on Lumbar Function、Pain Degree And Complications
Objective:To investigate the effect of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic treatment on lumbar func-tion,pain degree and complications in patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods:60 patients with LDH admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Southern Anhui Medical College from January 2018 to February 2024 were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 30 patients in each group. The control group was treated with conventional laminectomy and nucleus pulposus removal, while the observation group was treated with percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic surgery.Follow-up for 3 months after operation, the lumbar function[Oswetry Dysfunction Index(ODI)]and pain degree[visual analogue scale(VAS))of the two groups were com-pared,and the incidence and recurrence rate of postoperative complications were counted. Results:The scores of ODI and VAS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,P<0.05.The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 6.67%,and the recurrence rate after 3 months of follow-up was 3.33%,which was lower than that in the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic treatment for LDH patients has a satisfactory effect, which can obviously improve the lumbar function, reduce the de-gree of postoperative pain and reduce the incidence of complications and recurrence.
