The Effect of Family Function-Oriented Empowerment Education on Self-efficacy of COPD Patients
Objective:To explore the influence of family function-oriented empowerment education on self-efficacy and clini-cal symptoms of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods:Eighty COPD patients admitted to Kunming Intermediate People's Hospital from August 2022 to January 2024 were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,with 40 cases in each group.The control group received routine nursing,while the treatment group was given empowerment education based on family function on the basis of the control group.After 3 months of intervention,the self-efficacy and comprehensive ability of the two groups were compared.Results:Comparing the GSES score and BODE index score of the two groups at discharge,one month after discharge and three months after discharge,the GSES score of the treat-ment group was higher than that of the control group,and the BODE index score was lower than that of the control group,P<0.05.Conclusion:The family-oriented empowerment education intervention can effectively improve the self-efficacy of COPD patients and improve their nutritional status,clinical symptoms and exercise ability.
