Engineering Component Mapping Method Based on Terrestrial 3D Laser Scanner
Since the traditional mapping methods are easily affected by environmental factors, resulting in low measurement accuracy,in order to solve this problem,a mapping method of engineering components based on terrestrial 3D laser scanner is proposed.Firstly, the ground-based 3D laser scanner is utilized to collect the point cloud data, which contains detailed information of engineering components such as size, shape, and position. Then, the acquired point cloud data are denoised to extract the key feature points of the engineering components and form the skeleton coordinates of the component point cloud. Finally, these skeleton coordinates are used to reconstruct the engineering components to generate accurate 3D models. The experimental results show that the method of mapping engineering components based on terrestrial 3D laser scanner is able to denoise the acquired data, reduce the influence of environmental interference, and have high measurement accuracy, which has application value.
