Analysis of the Impact of Heavy Rainfall Flooding on Traffic Dynamics Based on Microscopic Traffic Simulation
Heavy rainfall flooding has a great destructive effect on the urban transportation system, and extreme heavy rainfall flooding can exacerbate the risk of traffic congestion in the road transportation system itself. In this paper, taking Wangshuanchang in Tianjin City as the study area, combined with the data of waterlogging distribution changes in urban flooding, the traffic operation during heavy rainfall flooding was simulated and analyzed through microscopic traffic simulation technology. The results of the study show that there are obvious changes in traffic flow and speed due to waterlogged roads in the process of heavy rainfall and flooding.Among them, the traffic volume in the middle of Justice Road decreases, the traffic volume in the southern section of Wangshuanchang Road No.1 gradually increases, and the traffic volume in the middle section of Hongxing Road decreases and then increases;in addition to the closed sections of the study area, the speed of each road in the study area during the middle stage of rainstorm flooding(45min-90min)decreases by 37.6%compared with the early stage(0-45min),and decreases by about 43.7%in the late stage(90min-120min).
