Application performance evaluation and mechanism study of carbonized steel slag based cementitious materials in road wa-ter stable layer
There is a problem of poor stability in steel slag. When steel slag is applied to the water stable layer, there will be uneven dis-tribution of steel slag, leading to expansion and cracking of the sample.Through research,it has been found that carbonization treat-ment of steel slag based cementitious materials can improve their volume stability.Steel slag with finer particle size can increase the carbonization reaction area, which is beneficial for improving the degree of carbonization. This article investigates the effect of carbon-ization time and temperature on the volume stability of pre carbonized steel slag based cementitious materials by carbonizing steel slag with a mesh size of ≥ 200.It also prepares a water stable layer with recycled building aggregates and conducts unconfined compressive strength and frost resistance tests on it.The results show that with the increase of carbonization time and temperature, the rate of pre-carbide decreases, and the activity increases first and then decreases. At atmospheric pressure, the carbonization temperature of 60 ℃and the carbonization time of 1.5 h had the highest relative activity.
