Experimental study on the bearing capacity of cross shaped plug-in plate connection support nodes in cement clinker storage
The top steel structure of the clinker silo is different from civil or other steel structures. The horizontal tension of the top zip-per machine is large, which leads to a large internal force of the members near the bottom ring support. The support node becomes a key link in the design of the clinker silo grid. This article improves the welding joint ball support of the clinker warehouse into a cross shaped insert plate form, and develops four sets of specimens for parameters such as section height, insert plate thickness, and steel pipe extension length into the insert plate.Experimental research is conducted on its bearing capacity, and the following conclusions are drawn:the thickness of the insert plate and the length of steel pipe extension into the insert plate have little effect on the node bear-ing capacity, while the size of the cross shaped insert plate section has a significant impact on the bearing capacity. The main failure mode of the experiment is the failure of the weld seam at the cross shaped insertion plate, and in practical engineering, the design of the weld seam at the cross shaped insertion plate node should be a key task.
