Experimental study on resource utilization of granite washed sand tailings
Sand washing tail mud is a waste generated by sand and gravel production enterprises during the wet sand making process.The treatment of the accompanying tail mud is an urgent problem that sand and gravel enterprises need to solve,and it is also the key to efficient resource utilization.Limestone washed sand tail mud can generally be directly used for raw material batching in cement plants.Granite washed sand tail mud is relatively difficult to dispose of its high content of potassium,sodium and other elements.The main treatment methods are open-air stacking,making microcrystalline glass,foamed ceramics,unburned bricks,aerated boards,etc.,which require higher disposal costs compared to limestone tail mud.Based on the physical and chemical characteristics of sand washing tail-ings,the disposal of sand washing tailings by using them as cement raw material ingredients and replacing fly ash in concrete has not re-sulted in a decrease in product quality,but has significantly reduced production costs.The effective utilization of granite sand washing tailings resources has achieved certain social and economic benefits,which has reference significance for the further promotion and uti-lization of harmless and resourceful disposal of granite sand washing tailings.
