With her unique artistic style and rich artistic language,the top Belgian illustrator,Kaatje Vermeire,has created many artistic works with profound meanings and rich aesthetic elements.In order to explore the unique features and rich connotations of the artistic language of Kaatje Ver-meire's illustrations,the research took her picture book The Old Women And The Little Boy as an example,through understanding the presentation of the internal theme emotion of her picture book,the form language of picture book from many angles was analyzed,its painting characteristics were summarized,and then the research obtained the inspiration of picture book creation.
