Art sociology was the earliest product of the West in the 1820s.After a certain development,it was introduced into China at the begin-ning of the 20th century,and Li Puyuan and Hu Man used it to write art history.With the Marxist view of literature and art becoming the main-stream in China,the method of art sociology gradually became in the Chinese art world,applied to the writing of art history.The applicability of art sociology in China's development was explored,and try to find the best way for China to use art sociology to write art history.
