Chinese excellent traditional culture has a long history,especially the intangible cultural heritage,extensive and profound.In the pro-cess of inheritance and development,the living space of traditional handicrafts with high achievements is gradually squeezed,and at the same time,it is difficult to inherit traditional handicrafts.The inheritance and innovative design of Nanjing velvet flower in fashion design from the per-spective of intangible cultural heritage were analyzed.It was pointed out that this could not only inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture,but also have a good application and design in fashion design.
