Figure skating was introduced to China in the 1930s.With the successful hosting of the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing,China's ice and snow sports have developed rapidly,and figure skating has gradually attracted more attention.The performance clothing worn by athletes has high artistic and aesthetic value.Chinese traditional patterns are an important part of Chinese culture.Starting from the aesthetic perspective of tra-ditional patterns,their artistic value in figure skating performance clothing,and their characteristics were analyzed,the new value of combining fig-ure skating with traditional patterns was explored,providing design ideas for the development of future performance clothing.
