Community Characteristics of Different Vegetation Restoration Models in Gold Tailing Wasteland
Plant selection of re-vegetation is important in the mining wasteland.Different restoration patterns were studied to understand the characteristics of vegetation community at Zijinshan gold mine in Fujian Province, China. The community structure, species composition and diversity under different 6 vegetation types (Pinus massoniana-Lespedeza bicolor-local flood turf, P.massoniana-Eucalyptus urophylla ×E.grandis-local flood turf, P.massoniana-Cinnamomum camphora-Lespedeza bicolor-local flood turf,P.massoniana-Vetiveria zizanioides-local flood turf, P.massoniana-Eucal yptus dunnii-local flood turf,P.massoniana-Liquidambar formosana-local flood turf) recovered since 2005 on slag wasteland were investigated in comparison with the undisturbed sites. The results showed that herbaceous plant is the dominant life forms in 6 different vegetation communities.Miscanthus floridulus, Ageratum conyzoides, Artemisia argyi, Bidens pilosa and Isachne globosa can serve as pioneer species during vegetation at preliminary succession.P.massoniana-Eucalyptus urophylla × E.grandis-local flood turf and P.massoniana-Eucalyptus dunnii-local flood turf species diversity were higher, the effect of vegetation restoration was better.
