Spatiotemporal evolution of vegetation net primary productivity and its driving mechanism in the Yanhe River Basin
[Objective]To provide a scientific basis and theoretical reference for ecological restoration and enviro-nmental protection in the Yanhe River Basin, this study explores spatiotemporal variation characteristics of vegeta-tion net primary productivity(NPP)and analyzes its driving factors and underlying mechanisms.[Methods]Based on MODIS data, trend analysis, coefficient of variation, and correlation analysis were used to analyze the spatiotemporal dynamics, stability, and the response relationship between vegetation NPP and influencing factors in the Yanhe River Basin from 2000 to 2020.[Results](1)The average vegetation NPP in the Yanhe River Basin from 2000 to 2020 was 321.18 gC/(m2·a),exhibiting a significant upward trend(p<0.01).(2)The distribution of NPP showed higher values in the south and lower values in the north.(3)Over 70%of the Yanhe River Basin exhibited relatively high or very high fluctuations in vegetation NPP,mainly in the northeast of the basin and most areas of Zhidan County.(4)From 2000 to 2020,temperature and precipitation in the Yanhe River Basin showed fluctuating increases, with precipitation promoting the positive growth of vegetation NPP,while temperature inhibited the increase of NPP to a certain extent.(5)Both temperature and precipitation contributed to vegetation NPP change in the northwestern part of the Yanhe River Basin, with temperature having a larger impact than precipitation.[Conclusion]Vegetation NPP in the Yanhe River Basin was influenced by temperature and precipitation, with the minimum and maximum values occurring in 2000 and 2018,respectively.The'returning farmland to forest(grassland)policy'has a positive impact on vegetation productivity and ecosystem health.
