A New Interpretation of the Theme of Doctrine of the Mean
In terms of the main theme of The Book of Rites:Doctrine of the Mean,Zhu Xi thought that it was an essay by Zi Si to discuss the Confucian"Dao Theories",and scholars have always followed Zhu Xi's old theory.In fact,Doctrine of the Mean is an argument for the kings'moral cultivation,and its evidence includes the assertions of Han and Tang dynasty scholars,Yu Yue's views,Confucian traditions,the internal evidence of Doctrine of the Mean,and important works that have always taught kings to become holy lords.
