Ye Shengtao's Three Uncollected Essays and Minbao,Minhua
Between 1936 and 1937,Cheap Rice,Language and Articles,and Words Should Be Selected in Editing Primary School Textbooks:A Review of the Vocabulary of Primary School Textbooks were published by Minbao,Minhua in Shanghai,but the three essays were not collected in Ye Shengtao's Collection.Research shows that Hong Qiao,the editor-in-chief of Minbao,Minhua,is Ye Shengtao's brother-in-law and novelist Jiang Hongjiao.The reason why Ye Shengtao's articles were repeatedly published by the magazine should be the result of Jiang Hongjiao's request.Although the writers of Minbao,Minhua are mainly popular literati of the old school,Minbao,Minhua also accepts contributions from young left-wing writers such as Zhou Erfu,and have made positive and useful explorations in the communication between the old and new literary circles.
