Effect of L-carnitine Assisted Sustained Low-effciency Dialysis on End-stage DN and Its Influence on Quality of Life and Oxidative Stress Indicators of Patients
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of levocarnitine assisted sustained low-effciency dialysis(SLED)in the treatment of end-stage DN and its impact on patients'quality of life and oxidative stress indicators. Methods:Sixty end-stage DN patients admitted to our hospital from March 2020 to February 2023 were randomly divided into a matched group and an observation group, with 30 patients in each group. Both groups were treated with SLED,while the observation group was treated with levocarnitine for 3 months.Evaluate and compare the clinical efficacy, quality of life and oxidative stress indicators between the two groups. Results:The total effec-tive rate of the observation group was higher than that of the matched group(P<0.05),while the total incidence of adverse reactions was lower than that of the matched group(P<0.05).After treatment, the serum Na+and Alb levels in the observation group were higher than those in the matched group, while the K+,SCr,BUN and β2-MG levels were significantly lower than those in the matched group(P<0.05).Compared to before treatment,MDA and AOPPs were significantly reduced, while SOD and GSP-Px were significantly increased in both groups after treatment(P<0.05),while the decrease/increase amplitude in the observation group was greater than that in the matched group(P<0.05).There was no difference in the SF-36 scale scores between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),but after treatment, the SF-36 scale scores in the observation group were higher than those in the matched group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The efficacy of levo-camitine assisted SLED in the treatment of end-stage DN is clear, which can effectively inhibit the body's oxidative stress response, reduce adverse reactions, and improve the quality of life of patients.
