Effect of Ice Cotton Stick Stimulation Combined with Penetrating Swallowing Acupuncture on Hyoid Laryngeal Complex Mobility and Nutritional Status in Patients with Dysphagia Caused by Pseudobulbar Palsy after Stroke
Objective:To investigate the effect of ice cotton stick stimulation combined with penetrating swallowing acupuncture on hyoid laryngeal complex mobility and nutritional status in patients with dysphagia caused by pseudobulbar palsy(PBP)after stroke.Methods:150 patients with dysphagia caused by PBP after stroke were selected from January 2020 to January 2023 in Air Force Hospital of Western Theater.Patients were divided into control group(n=75,ice cotton stick stimulation treatment)and experimental group(n=75,penetrating swallowing acupuncture treatment on the basis of control group)by random number table method.The efficacy,Kubota drinking water test score,Fujishima Ichiro swallowing disorder score,hyoid laryngeal complex mobility,nutritional status and quality of life scores were compared between two groups.Results:The total clinical effective rate in experimental group was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).The Kubota drinking water test score in experimental group was lower than that in control group 4 weeks after treatment,and the Fujishima Ichiro swallowing disorder score was higher than that in control group(P＜0.05).The distance of hyoid bone upward movement,distance of hyoid bone forward movement,distance of thyroid cartilage upward movement and distance of thyroid cartilage forward movement in experimental group was greater than that in control group 4 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).The total pro-tein(TP),serum albumin(ALB)and serum preprotein(PA)in experimental group were higher than those in control group 4 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).The quality of life scores in experimental group was higher than that in control group 4 weeks after treatment(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Ice cotton stick stimulation combined with penetrating swallowing acupuncture can effectively improve the swallowing function,hyoid laryngeal complex mobility and nutritional status of patients with dysphagia caused by PBP after stroke,and improve the quality of life of patients.
