Effect of Scalp Acupuncture Combined with Speech Auditory Feedback Cognitive Training on Cognitive Function,Cerebral Blood Flow,and Serum Neurocytokines in Patients with Cognitive Impairment after Brain Injury
Objective:To observe the effects of scalp acupuncture combined with speech auditory feedback cognitive training on cognitive function,cerebral blood flow,and serum neurocytokines in patients with cognitive impairment after brain injury.Methods:102 patients with cognitive impairment after brain injury admitted to our hospital from August 2021 to February 2023 were divided into control group(n=51,received speech auditory feedback cognitive training)and experimental group(n=51,received scalp acupuncture intervention on the basis of the control group)by random number table method.Compared Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MoCA),cerebral blood flow indicators[mean blood flow velocity(Vm),local cerebral blood flow(rCBF),local cerebral blood volume(rCBV)],and serum neurocytokines[S100β,Neuron specific enolase(NSE),brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),nerve growth factor(NGF)]between two groups before and after intervention,and the occurrence of adverse reactions during the intervention period were observed in both groups.Results:After intervention,the scores and total scores of visual space and executive function,naming,attention,language,abstraction,delayed recall,and orientation in both groups increased,and the experimental group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,Vm,rCBF,and rCBV increased in both groups,and the experimental group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,S100 β,NSE and NGF groups in both decreased,and the experimental group was lower than the control group;BDNF increased,and the experimental group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).During the intervention period,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:The combination of scalp acupuncture and verbal auditory feedback cognitive training can effectively improve cognitive function in patients with cognitive impairment after brain injury,and the safety is good,which may be related to improving cerebral blood flow and serum neurocytokine levels.
