Modeling and Mechanism of Action of Gastric Protease Aerosols with Different Concentrations in Rats with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Objective:To investigate the modeling and mechanism of action of different concentrations of gastric protease aerosols on rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:48 male SD rats were divided into groups of 16 each. The low and high concentration groups were given 75 ng/mL and 150 ng/mL gastric protease aerosols, respectively, while the normal control group was given filtered air.The relevant indicators of the three groups were compared. Results:After modeling, the body weight of the three groups of rats was normal control group>low concentration group>high concentration group, with P<0.05.The lung function indicators, blood gas analysis indicators, blood routine, inflammatory factors, and lung tissue protein expression of the three groups of rats had statistical significance, with P<0.05.After HE staining, inflammatory cell infiltration appeared around the airway in the lung tissue of rats in the low concentration group, with thickening of the bronchial wall, widening of the alveolar septum, and compensatory dilation of adjacent alveo-lar cavities and alveolar tissues; The lung tissue of rats in the high concentration group was similar to that in the low concentration group. Conclusion:The model established by 150 ng/mL gastric protease aerosol is more in line with the clinical and pathological characteristics of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and may be related to inflammatory infiltration and oxidative stress.
