Clinical Study on Abdominal Acupuncture in the Treatment of Primary Hypertension Patients with Anxiety and Depression
Objective:To observe the effectiveness and safety of abdominal acupuncture for treating patients with primary hyper-tension accompanied by anxiety and depression.Methods:A total of 60 patients with primary hypertension with anxiety and depression were randomly divided into a control group(30 cases,receiving simple psychological counseling on the basis of routine treatment)and an abdominal acupuncture group(30 cases,receiving abdominal acupuncture treatment on the basis of the control group).The efficacy,blood pressure(systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure),Generalized Anxiety Scale-7(GAD-7)scale scores,9 patient health questionnaire(PHQ-9)scale score,traditional chinese medicine symptom grading quantitative score,pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)scale score and drug safety were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the abdominal acupuncture group was signifiicantly higher than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,systolic blood pressure,GAD-7 scale score,PHQ-9 scale score,TCM symptom grading and PSQI scale score in the abdominal acupuncture group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions were observed in either groups during this study.Conclusions:Abdominal acupuncture for treating patients with primary hypertension with anxiety and depression can effectively regulate blood pressure,improve anxiety and depression,sleep quality,and has a good clinical effect.
