Discussion on the Effect of Shujintongluo Method Massage Combined with Warm Acupuncture Moxibustion on Wind-Cold-Damp Type Shoulder Periarthritis Based on the Theory of Tendons and Bones Balance
Objective:To investigate the effect of shujintongluo method massage combined with warm acupuncture moxibustion on wind-cold-damp type shoulder periarthritis based on the theory of tendons and bones balance. Methods:A total of 96 patients with shoulder periarthritis were divided into single group(n=48)and combined group(n=48)according to the random number table method.Single group was treated with warm acupuncture moxibustion, and combine group was treated with shujintongluo method massage. The changes of clinical symptoms[simplified McGill pain questionnaire(SF-MPQ)score,American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeon(ASES)score],serum inflammatory factors[monocyte chemoattractant protein 1(MCP-1),interleukin(IL)-6 and IL-32],surface integral elec-tromyography(iEMG)of the deltoid muscle and shoulder joint activity were observed before and after treatment in two groups.Results:2 weeks after treatment and 4 weeks after treatment,SF-MPQ scores were lower in combined group than in single group, and the surface iEMG of deltoid muscle, the ASES score was higher than that in single group(P<0.05).4 weeks after treatment, the levels of serum MCP-1,IL-6 and IL-32 in combined group were lower than those in single group, the shoulder joint activity(flexion, extension, internal rotation and external rotation)was higher than that in single group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Wind-cold-damp type shoulder periarthritis patients treat with shujintongluo method massage combined with warm acupuncture moxibustion based on the theory of tendons and bones balance, which can reduce the clinical symptoms and inflammatory response, increase the range of shoulder joint activity, improve the function of deltoid muscle and improve the quality of daily life.
