Effects of Zhibai Dihuang Pills Combined with Leuprorelin on Growth and Development and Plasma Levels of Kisspeptin and Ghrelin in Girls with Central Precocious Puberty
Objective:To investigate the effects of zhibai dihuang pills combined with leuprorelin on growth and development and plasma kisspeptin(Kisspeptin)and growth hormone-releasing peptide(Ghrelin)levels in girls with central precocious puberty(CPP).Methods:86 CPP girls were divided into single drug group(leuprorelin treatment)and combined drug group(zhibai dihuang pill combine with leuprorelin treatment)by random number table method,with 43 cases in each group.The growth and development indexes[height standard deviation score(HtSDSBA),predicted adult height,bone age index],secondary sex characteristic indexes(uterine body length,left ovarian volume,right ovarian volume),sex hormone indexes[luteinizing hormone(LH)peak,follicle stimulating hormone(FSH)peak,prolactin(PRL),estrogen(E2)]and plasma Kisspeptin and Ghrelin levels were compared between two groups.Results:Compared with single drug group after treatment,the HtSDSBA,predicted adult height and Ghrelin in combined drug group were higher,the bone age index,LH peak,FSH peak,PRL,E2 and plasma Kisspeptin levels were lower,and the uterine body length,left ovarian volume and right ovarian volume were smaller.Conclusion:The treatment of zhibai dihuang pill combined with leuprorelin can improve the growth and development of CPP girls,regulate the levels of sex hormones,plasma Kisspeptin and Ghrelin.
