Analysis of the Expression Significance and Diagnostic Value of Blood MCV and sTfR in Children with Mild Thalassemia
Objective:To explore the expression significance and diagnostic value of blood MCV and sTfR in children with mild thalassemia.Methods:88 thalassemia children treated in 2019.3-2024.3 in our hospital were divided into observation group, and 88 healthy children who came to our hospital for physical examination in the same period were selected as the control group.Comparing the blood MCV and sTfR expression levels in the two groups, the correlation, influencing factors and diagnostic value were analyzed.Re-sults:MCV was lower than the control group, and sTfR was higher than the control group(P<0.05);the MCV in children with different Hb,ferritin and transferrin saturation was significantly different(P<0.05);the results showed that MCV and sTfR were independent influ-encing factors(P<0.05);the area under the curve was 0.682,the sensitivity and specificity were 78.78%and 89.37%were significantly higher than the single index. Conclusion:The blood levels of MCV and sTfR are significantly different between thalassemia children and healthy children, and MCV and sTfR are closely related to the clinical characteristics of thalassemia, which are also independent influ-encing factors for the occurrence of thalassemia. The expression levels of blood MCV and sTfR can provide an important reference for their diagnosis.
