Biodegradable polymer films are prepared by blending polylactic acid(PLA)with polyethylene glycol(PEG)and polybutylene succinate(PBS)in chloroform(DCM)or absolute ethanol(EtOH)as solvent. The surface structure and physical properties of the films are studied by means of FTIR,SEM,mechanical properties, hydrophobic angle and water absorption.Further, biomass ash and urea are mixed to prepare spherical fertilizer core, which is coated with 10%polymer film by high pressure spray. The nitrogen release ability of polymer membrane and coated fertilizer is determined by urea permeability test and nitrogen permeability test in still water. The results show that the polymer membranes prepared by blending DCM with PLA and PBS have compact surface structure and higher mechanical properties and hydrophobicity compared with PLA membrane;the permeability coefficient of coated fertilizer to urea solution is the smallest and the urea release rate is 0.27%and 40.05%on the first day and the 28th day respectively, and a longer sustained-release period.
