Objective:To study the chemical composition of ethyl acetate layer in Salvia plebeia. Methods:Silica gel column chromatography,medium-pressure rapid chromatography and Sephadex-LH gel chromatography are used for separation and purification, and the structure of each monomer compound is identified by spectroscopy, physicochemical properties and literature control. Results:Two monomeric compounds are isolated from the ethyl acetate layer of Salvia plebeia, which are identified as zealand flavonoids and homopsyllin, respectively. Conclusion:For the first time,medium-pressure chromatography is used to quickly obtain zealand flavonoids and homopsyllin from the ethyl acetate extraction layer of Salvia plebeia, which is time-saving,simple and efficient, and worthy of popularization and application.
