Ursane pentacyclic triterpenoids are widely present in the natural plant kingdom and have abundant sources.They have a high content in plants such as licorice,loquat leaves,apples,etc.Pharmacological studies have shown that such compounds have biological activities such as anti-tumor,antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and have lower toxic side effects,which has great medical value and development potential.This article reviews the literature reports on the anti-tumor activity and mechanism of action of ursane pentacyclic triterpenoids both domestically and internationally in recent years,in order to provide reference for further research and development of anti-tumor applications of these compounds.
