Population Experimental Study on the Functional Benefits of Blueberry Anthocyanins
Objective:The aim of this study is to investigate the physiological impacts of blueberry anthocyanins on human health. Methods:A total of 75 subjects aged 30 to 65 are recruited for a self-controlled study, where they consumed blueberry anthocyanin for 45 consecutive days.Comprehensive effects of blueberry anthocyanin are evaluated through blood biochemistry, routine blood test, vision test, antioxidant index measurement, and health survey.Statistical analysis is performed using SPSS 22.0,with p<0.05 indicating significant differences. Results:Compared with before the test, the heart rate, blood pressure, blood routine, biochemical routine analysis and other indicators are not affected after the test, and the score of visual fatigue symptoms, malondialdehyde content, and total sleep/immunity/fatigue symptoms decrease significantly(p<0.05).Conclusion:Long-term intake of blueberry anthocyanin can alleviate visual fatigue symptoms and reduce serum malondialdehyde levels, suggesting its potential to enhance antioxidant capacity and positively contribute to human health.
