Objective:To investigate the expression of complement 3(C3)in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)and its correlation with prognosis and. Methods:The relationship between C3 and KIRC is analyzed by using the data of C3 in multiple online databases, including UALCAN,MethHC 2.0,GEPIA and SangerBox.Results:The level of C3 in KIRC tissues is significantly higher than that in normal tissues(p<0.05).The results show that the high expression of C3 is correlated with tumor stage, sex, age, pathological grade, lymph node metastasis status and molecular subtype.Prognosis results show that disease free survival, overall survival, progression free survival and disease free survival are shortened in patients with high C3 expression, indicating poor prognosis. The high expression of C3 is positively correlated with the infiltration degree of B cells, macrophages, neutrophils, dendritic cells and CD4+T cells.Conclusion:C3 is highly expressed in KIRC patients, which is a risk factor for the prognosis of KIRC patients. It is expected to be used as a prognostic biomarker for KIRC and provide important guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of KIRC.
