Animal Experiments of the Efficacy of Modern Weight Loss Ingredients in Combination with Traditional Chinese Medicine
Objective:Exploring the weight loss effects of compound Chinese medicine extracts such as Curcuma longa L.and Cassia obtusifolia L.combined with L-carnitine-L-Tartrate and extracts of Phaseolus coccineus L..Methods:Using SD healthy male rats as the research object, fed with high calorie feed, establishing an obese rat model.Study on the weight loss effect of compound Chinese medicine extracts with L-carnitine-L-Tartrate and extracts of Phaseolus coccineus L..Rats are randomly divide into a blank group,a model group, and four formula experimental groups. The feeding status, food utilization rate, weight gain, and body fat weight of rats are observed. Results:There is no difference in food intake, total food intake, and total calorie intake between the experimental groups and the model group. The weight gain and total weight gain of experimental groups 1,2,and 4 are lower than those model group. The food utilization rate and total food utilization rate of experimental groups 1 and 4 are lower than those of the model group. The testicular and perirenal fat weight of experimental groups 1 and 4 rats are lower than those model group. All the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05).Conclusion:Under this experimental condition, experimental groups 1 and 4 have a weight loss effect.
