Current Status and Research Progress in Human Cytomegalovirus Infection
Human cytomegalovirus is a common herpes virus.Human cytomegalovirus infection is widely prevalent in China, and fetuses and immunocompromised infants are susceptible to it.Human cytomegalovirus infection is often manifested as subclinical infection and latent infection in healthy populations, but once infected,it poses great harm to certain specific populations(such as pregnant women, young children, and immunocompromised individuals),and is highly likely to cause birth defects and irreversible damage. This review summarizes the current research status of epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of human cytomegalovirus infection.
