Application of Proteome Techniques in Drug Addiction Research
This paper briefly outlined the separation,identification and quantification proteomics technology and its application in research of addictive drugs like alcohol,nicotine,morphine,cocaine and methamphetamine.Proteomics is one of the powerful tools in the post-genomic era.With the development of protein separation,identification and quantitative technology,especially the liquid chromatography with wide application range and good separation efficiency and the mass spectrometry with high sensitivity,proteomics has been applied to drug addiction research more extensively,and will promote the understand of protein changes during the drug dependence formation and its participation in the biological process and related pathways,which will help to highlight molecular mechanisms underlying addiction.
