The art of dyeing and painting appears directly or indirectly in the remains along the ancient Silk Road,Mogao Caves and other murals.Combining with previous studies,this paper compares and analyzes the narrative expressions in the depictions of the reincarnation of the deer king,the sacrifice of the Sato prince to feed the tiger,and the story murals of the Siddhartha prince's reincarnation,with the narrative expressions in the art of dyeing since the Ming and Qing dynasties,which leads to the reconsideration of the creation of narrative themes in modern dyeing art.
