Through the study of ancient Chinese sitting postures and seating furniture,the evolution of sitting postures from sitting on the floor to sitting with feet hanging down,and the changes in the form of seating furniture from low to high,are revealed.The collision,infiltration,correlation,and influence between sitting postures,seating furniture,and traditional etiquette and customs are explored.Furthermore,the great changes in living,dining,and social etiquette corresponding to sitting postures and seating furniture are investigated.The evolution and development of sitting postures and seating furniture have important implications and educational significance for contemporary society.Modern designers can absorb the advantages of traditional seating furniture,combine them with modern culture,and create seating furniture that is suitable for modern life,thus better inheriting and innovating excellent traditional Chinese culture.
