By comparing the characteristics of tile patterns between China and the West,this paper analyzes its history,pattern theme and regional spiritual implication from the perspective of its local dissemination and evolution in China.As a representative architectural decorative art symbol of overseas Chinese villages in modern times,tile is a memory carrier of the changes of overseas Chinese villages more than 100 years ago,reflecting the interpretation and pattern expression of traditional Chinese culture on tile carriers,and also contains the local material expression of the integration of Chinese and Western cultures.
