This study takes the self-service ordering facilities at McDonald's in Shanghai as a case to explore the age-friendly design of self-service commercial facilities in smart cities.By analyzing the usage behaviors and physical characteristics of elderly users,it proposes improvement measures such as adjusting equipment height and optimizing interface design to enhance the usability for older users.
