The oral history method has strong experiential,on-site,and firsthand characteristics,which not only preserves a large amount of fresh first-hand materials for the research and protection of intangible cultural heritage,but also builds a bridge for the development of intangible cultural heritage to receive public attention.This article analyzes how the theory of oral history in the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage can be transformed into practical research methods,explores how to use digital technology to promote the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage of folk art.Valuing the role of oral history in the research and protection of intangible cultural heritage aims to lead the value return of oral historical materials of inheritors in the inheritance and protection of folk art intangible cultural heritage.
