In order to explore the strategies of cultural gene decoding empowering the packaging design of regional agricultural and sideline products,this paper selects the packaging of multiple famous and high-quality agricultural and sideline products in Henan Province as the research object,and proposes four strategies and three dimensions of empowerment.The method of cultural gene decoding to empower design provides a new perspective for the packaging design of agricultural and sideline products,which can highlight the local characteristics of products and improve the expression effect of product cultural connotation.
