The decorative patterns on the gable ends of the Mogao Caves underwent new changes during the Western Wei period,with the original balanced composition evolving into an evenly distributed one,and a significant increase in the use of avian motifs in the decorative elements.This article primarily conducts research and analysis on the composition,color,and elements of the gable end decorative patterns of Cave 288 in the Mogao Caves.Furthermore,based on the existing analysis,it utilizes modern technology to achieve a three-dimensional reinterpretation and creation of the patterns.
