Objective To explore the biological safety effect of porous nitinol(PNT)on preosteoblast cells in vitro. Methods PNT and dense nitinol(NiTi)materials were provided by School of Materials Science and Engineering,Central South University.Ti was purchased from Ningbo Cibei Medical Instrument Co.LTD.MC3T3-E1 was derived from Typical Culture Preservation Committee Cell Bank of Chinese Academy of Sciences.Leaching liquor of PNT,NiTi and titanium(Ti)without surface treatment was used to culture preosteoblast MC3T3-E1 cells. The proliferation activity of the cells was detected by CCK-8 method, and alkaline phosphatase activity was detected to observe cell differentiative capacity, and mitochondrial membrane potential was assayed to observe early cell apoptosis. Results The cell proliferation capacity of PNT group was significantly lower than that of NiTi group(P<0.001)and Ti group(P<0.001)on 1st day,3rd day and 7th day.The cell differentiation ability of PNT group was significantly lower than that of NiTi group(P<0.001)and Ti group(P<0.001)on 1st day,3rd day and 7th day. Conclusion It is demonstrated that effect of PNT on cell proliferation and differentiation is significantly greater than that of NiTi and Ti groups, and it more obviously inhibits the proliferation and differentiation of cells, and is more likely to make early apoptosis.
