Objective To investigate the clinical application value of magnetic resonance image compilation(MAGiC)on pri-mary Sjögren's syndrome(pSS).Methods A total of 33 female patients with pSS(pSS group)were enrolled,which aged 29-81 years old with mean age of 53.85 years old;disease course was 1-14 months with mean of 6.5 months.At the same period,25 female healthy volunteers without pSS-related course were set as healthy group,which aged 26-84 years old with mean age of 50.19 years old.All of them performed conventional sequence and MAGiC sequence scanning on bilateral parotid glands,the MAGiC quantitative map of parotid gland tissue was obtained by post-processing,the T1 mean value,T2 mean value and proton density(PD)mean value of parotid glands were measured.The consistency of T1 mean value,T2 mean value and PD mean value of parotid gland tissue were detected by intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC).The mean differences of above parameters between pSS group and healthy group were compared,and the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to evaluate diagnostic efficacy of each mean value for pSS,the DeLong test was used to compare the di-agnostic efficacy of each mean value.Results The mean consistency of intra-and inter-observation were excellent(r>0.9).The T,mean value and T2 mean value of pSS group were significantly higher than those of healthy group[(711.17±90.30)ms vs(615.58±60.66)ms,(89.92±10.69)ms vs(77.88±6.69)ms.P<0.05],there was no statistically significant difference in PD mean value between 2 groups(t=-1.540,P=0.129).The ROC curve showed that area under curve(AUC)T,mean value,T2 mean value and PD mean value in diagnosis of pSS were 0.827,0.842 and 0.614,respectively;the sensitivity and specificity were 80.0%and 81.2%,76.0%and 84.3%,80.0%and 50.0%,respectively;95%confidence interval(CI)were 0.704-0.915,0.721-0.925,0.476-0.740,respectively;Youden index was 0.612,0.603 and 0.300,respectively;cut-off values were 650 ms,82 ms,83 pu,respectively.There was no significant difference in AUC between T1 mean value and T2 mean value(P>0.05),which was higher than that of PD mean value(P<0.05).The AUC,sensitivity,specificity,95%CI and Youden index of T1 mean value combined with T2 mean value in diagnosis of pSS were 0.935,100.0%,78.1%,0.837-0.983 and 0.781,respectively,which were significantly higher than the mean value of T1,T2 and PD(P<0.05).Conclusion It is demonstrated that MAGiC could be applied to identify primary pSS,T,mean value and T2 mean value of parotid gland tissue showed certain diagnostic efficacy,and T1 mean value combined with T2 mean value could provide higher diagnostic value for MRI imaging diagnosis of pSS.
