Standardization of Archives Management of Hydrogen Energy Engineering Projects in accordance with the Chinese National Goals for Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality
The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategic goal of"actively and steadily promoting carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,and accelerating the planning and construction of a new energy system".This implies an acceleration of the development of the renewable energy industry,which is crucial to achieve structural transformation and engaging with new sustainable energy sources.The development of the new renewable energy industry poses challenges to traditional archives practices that emerge from specificities of the new energy sources,new energy production methods as well as recent changes in social responsibility and environmental concerns.This paper addresses these challenges and corresponding archive management responses by using the case-study of the emerging hydrogen energy industry,which has the potential to inject new momentum into the Chinese green development.In this case,archive management needs to focus on all aspects of hydrogen energy production,storage,transmission and use of the current industrial chain.This paper identifies the lack of archive management standards for this type of new energy projects by investigating the current status of this industry in China and abroad.The paper proposes a standardized implementation path for archive management within this very new industry.The findings of this paper are transferable to hydrogen energy project archives.Finally,the paper also aims to provide suggestions for the standardization and high-quality development construction of the hydrogen e energy industry empowered and guided by efficient engineering project archive practices.
