Toward Reconciliation:A Study of Archival Participation in the Construction and Transformation of Traumatic Memory in the Digital Age
As an important branch of social memory,the construction and transformation of trauma memory plays a key role in realizing social and trauma reconciliation.As an important element in the construction of social memory,with the advent of the digital age,the rapid development of the Internet has allowed archives to participate more efficiently in the construction and transformation of traumatic memory.Foreign archives,museums and other memory institutions have actively explored the construction and transformation of traumatic memory.Due to the different types of trauma,sources of archives,and transmission mechanisms,the transformation of traumatic memory has been divided into three paths in the course of practice.They are the state-led public welfare path,the organization-led individual public welfare path,and the publicized path under the rapid development of new media.The exploration of cases and paths of constructing and transforming traumatic memories in foreign countries provides a direction for the archives sector to further explore the future tendency of socially constructing traumatic memories.
