A Study of Tacit Knowledge Sharing Among Technical Teams Under Firm Transformation Orientation
With the gradual increase of uncertainty in the market environment, more and more traditional manufacturing firms try to survive and develop through transformation,es-pecially choosing to transform to affiliated industries, which is characterized by small span, good effect, low risk, fast speed and low barriers.Based on the integration perspective of social capital theory and knowledge management, this study proposes that shared vision, reciprocity, and interaction among technical teams are important antecedents to promote the sustainable development of firms transforming to related industries;tacit knowledge sharing among techni-cal teams,as a key activity to create new knowledge and provide important strategic resources for the transformation of manufacturing firms, will mediate the above relationship;and team efficacy,as an important attribute of the team, will modulate the above relationship. The empirical data were collected from the technical team members of the transformation firms in the associated industries as the main survey respondents and examined using hierarchical regression analysis. The results show that the three social capitals of shared vision, reciprocity, and interaction have a positive effect on the development of related industry transformation in manufacturing firms, and the sharing of tacit knowledge among technical teams will mediate the two relationships, whereas team efficacy negatively moderates the influence mechanism of shared vision and reciprocity on the sharing of tacit knowledge and weakens the mediating role of the sharing of tacit knowledge.
