Optimization of International Departure Process in Airport Terminal Based on Queuing Network
With the rapid growth of international passenger throughput in civil aviation, congestion of passengers often occurs in the terminal due to the unreasonable number of ser-vice facilities. In order to alleviate current congestion and improve airport service efficiency, this study considers the international departure process as a whole, employing queuing theory and queuing network to establish a model of the international passenger queuing network.Analytical expressions for various performance indicators under steady state are derived based on Jackson's theorem and single queue decomposition method.Aiming to minimize the total cost,an optimization model for international departure service facilities is con-structed.Taking Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport as an example, the international departure process in the terminal is optimized using the international passenger queuing network model and the optimization model for service facilities to determine the optimal number of service resources. The results indicate that utilizing the international passenger queuing network model and the optimization model for service facilities can effectively ensure operational costs, efficiency, and resource utilization in the international departure process of the airport terminal.
