Research on the Driving Mechanism of Zero-Carbon Community Construction Under the Perspective of Resident Participation—Based on Structural Equation Modelling
With the intensification of the global greenhouse gas problem,urban carbon emission reduction is one of the important areas to achieve the goal of energy saving and carbon reduction,the community is the cell of the city,and the zero-carbon community construction has gradually become one of the key measures to solve the problem,at present,there is a lack of motivation for residents to participate in the construction of zero-carbon community,therefore,it is necessary to study the driving mechanism of zero-carbon com-munity construction from the perspective of residents'participation.Based on the concept of zero-carbon community,the thesis firstly combed the influential factors by applying the literature analysis method;then further screened the influential factors by applying the ex-pert interview method,and finally obtained 18 driving factors;and then constructed the structural equation model to determine the driving mechanism of residents'participation in the construction of zero-carbon community and put forward the corresponding suggestions.The results of the study show that the five latent variables influence residents'participation in the construction of zero-carbon communities,in descending order of the degree of driving,namely,policy support,culture and education,operation and management,facilities and planning,and cognition and emotion;and the key drivers of the five latent variables are:the establishment of an incentive mechanism to conserve energy,the provision of technical train-ing on carbon-reducing facilities,the planning and organisation of carbon-reducing activities,the establishment of convenient green transport facilities,and the awareness and responsi-bility for environmental protection,respectively.awareness and responsibility.The results of the thesis provide ideas and theoretical research basis for the construction of zero-carbon communities.
