Integrating Frontier Research Achievements into the Innovative Experimental Program Teaching of Undergraduates—Take the Preparation of Polycarboxylate Ether Superplasticizer and Effects on Cement Fluidity as an Example
To integrate the frontier scientific research results into the innovative experimental project teaching of college stu-dents,a comprehensive innovative experimental teaching design arrangement was conducted with the case of"preparation of poly-carboxylate ether superplasticizer and its effect on the flowability of cement".Firstly,students were taught the chemical reaction mechanism and the dispersing mechanism of polymers.Then,students were guided to prepare polycarboxylate ether superplasticizer and test its influence on the flowability of cement.Furthermore,the variation pattern of the impact of polycarboxylate ether super-plasticizer prepared with different dosages of acrylic acid and potassium persulfate on the flowability of cement was explored,en-hancing the innovation,advanced level,and interest of the experiment.This course focuses on student-centered development and in-troduces the BOPPPS teaching model into the teaching process,which not only expands the students'knowledge and practical skills but also improves their ability to identify,analyze,and solve problems.
